The SCC’s mission is to unite Savannah’s children through the power of song, and to do so, we need your help! As a 501-c-3 not for profit organization, donations to the SCC are tax deductible to the full extent of the law.
Scholarship Fund:
Tuition only pays for a portion of providing the high quality music eduction and enrichment programs the SCC offers. Thus, we rely on the generous support of individuals, foundations and corporations to help us continue our work.
The SCC offers two levels of financial aid for all tuition-based programming (Summer Choral Camp, Rehearsal & Performance year), at a subsidized and a heavily-subsidized level, based on family need. However, each family is still expected to make a financial contributions to their child’s participation in the SCC. Your generous donation can help us make financial aid available to the talented children who need it.
Travel is a requirement of participation in the SCC. Help us help children who might not otherwise experience the world see it firsthand.
As the choir grows, and more of our families are requesting financial aid, we want to be able to honor our commitment that no talented child, once accepted into the SCC, will be turned away due to lack of funds.
Program Support:
The SCC produces numerous concerts and events throughout the year. Your individual, foundation or corporate sponsorship helps us keep the spotlight on our talented children as they perform and grow.
Consider a Recurring Gift:
It costs over $3,000 per child to provide a year’s worth of programming, and tuition covers only about 1/10 of that cost.
Your recurring gift of only $10 per month for a year provides a tuition scholarship for a talented child in need.
Your recurring gift of only $25 per month for a year provides Summer Camp scholarships for three children who want to audition for the SCC.
Your recurring gift of $50 per month for a year allows six Prep Choir members the chance to take their first performance tour.
Your recurring gift of $100 per month for a year provides travel scholarships to two children who might not otherwise get to experience the world outside of Savannah.
Adopt a Child:
Tuition only covers a small portion of the costs associated with accomplishing the mission of uniting Savannah’s children through the power of song.
In addition, at least 2/3 of our members require financial aid to participate, at either a subsidized or heavily subsidized level. While each family is expected to make a financial commitment to their child’s participation, costuming and travel, our commitment is that no child, once invited to join the Savannah Children’s Choir will be turned away due to lack of funds.
For $2,750, you can make the difference in a child’s life. This gift represents the actual cost of providing services, minus their family’s expected financial commitment for a year of programming.
