Audition

The only audition into the SCC is to attend Summer Camp, held annually on during the last two weeks of July.

The two-week camp,which is open to all musically-interested students in 2nd through 8th grades, offers a fun and education-filled experience, culminating in a public performance the last day of camp.

In addition, it gives SCC directors time to fully evaluate musicians for potential membership into the next season’s choir.  Children are evaluated on their ability to follow instructions, match pitch, work in a group environment, and on their interest in choral music.  On the last day of camp, invititation letters are sent to those children selected for the next season’s SCC.
